The “Native Plants Healthy Planet” podcast recorded two special episodes featuring organizers and speakers from the 2026 New Jersey Coastal and Climate Resilience Conference.

In the first episode, hosts Tom Knezick and Fran Chismar welcomed Meadowlands Research and Restoration Institute Co-Director and Chief Restoration Scientist Terry Doss, who leads the NJCRC’s Conference and Event Planning Workgroup, and Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve Coastal Training and Engagement Coordinator Amanda Archer, who serves as the NJCRC’s managing director. The group discussed the conference, the state’s coastal resilience challenges, and the importance of collaboration, educating about climate change, and the promise of a better future.

In the second episode, Chismar and Knezick connected with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Research Scientist Joshua Moody to discuss coastal resilience, the importance of collaboration, the wonders of Atlantic white cedar habitat, his journey through ecology, and the promise of a better future.

The podcast is presented by Pinelands Nursery & Supply, a conference sponsor and NJCRC partner. Click here to learn more about the podcast and browse past recordings.
