The New Jersey Coastal Resilience Collaborative (NJCRC) will host a full-day, in-person Coastal Ecological Restoration Technical Workshop on Sept. 11 at the Rutgers EcoComplex in Bordentown. The NJCRC welcomes all coastal stakeholders, researchers, practitioners and managers to attend and exchange information about the latest science needed to improve our understanding about coastal ecological restoration.

More information about the workshop will be available soon. Regular registration fees are anticipated to be $30 for the day, while student registration fees will be less and scholarships will be made available as needed. Call for Abstracts

Abstracts are being accepted for 15-minute oral presentations that address scientific research on ecological restoration, such as:

  • Improving restoration outcomes,
  • Nature-based solutions,
  • Technological innovations,
  • Integrative approaches for funding of ecosystem restoration, and
  • Impacts of climate change on ecological restoration approaches.

All abstracts must be submitted by Friday, Aug. 8, by 5 p.m. Submissions will only be accepted through our online form. Please follow all instructions for the submission form listed below. If you have any questions about the form, contact Terry Doss (tdoss@njsea.com).

Please read the following instructions in full before submitting:

  • Abstracts will be limited to a maximum of 250 words.
  • There is no abstract submission fee.
  • Abstracts may be submitted for individual presentations that organizers will combine into panels or abstracts may include multiple panelists.
  • Accepted abstract presenters will be required to pay the registration fee.
  • Abstract contributors will be notified of abstract acceptance via email.
  • Please enter information exactly as you would like to have it appear in the Workshop materials.
  • By submitting your abstract, you agree to provide NJCRC with a digital copy of your talk or poster for use in the Technical Workshop proceedings, and consent to the upload of your talk or poster as part of the proceedings to the NJCRC website.
